Helloooo -- I'm back from the dead...

I think my last update was back in fall 2023, and now it's March of 2024. Anyways, here's how my lolita journey has been since then!

I've met up with my Boston old school friends a few more times.

These are from my friends' birthday meets.
At the first meet, we had a picnic at Boston Commons. It was a lot of fun, but also very cold lol. It was great to see this little group for the second time. Afterwards, we experienced the insanity of Boston driving in my friend's car.
At the second meet, my friend reserved the space in a really pretty church with stained glass windows for us to take some photos with. Afterwards, we walked around Newbury St.

Here are some of the coords I put together since I last updated:

This skirt is a custom from Glittertale! I spent my ice cream store paychecks on it. It was a slight journey to get it as the package kept getting delayed due to holiday shipping issues, but I got free wrist cuffs as a "sorry" present!
I thought the skirt was too puffy, as I'm used to flatter coords, but the absolute hugeness of it is growing on me.

I made this coord because I am sad about missing the local anime con, Anime Boston. Whatever though, because midterms are more important and I have other fun things coming up in the following weeks.
I got this jsk (Petit Chiens, IW) from my comm member who did a closet sale!

Better photo of the coord I wore to the church meetup. In a strange way, I felt weird wearing lolita in church + with a cross, as I am a Christian who usually associates church with looking super formal. Anyways on the day of the meet, I was more concerned abt the warmth of this coord than how it looked because it was below 10F degrees, so I wore boots and leggings...
This dress was a mystery. From what I've found, the JSK is an altered  IW lucky pack jsk, also from my comm member's closet sale.

Okay, non-old school coord. My La Luice bunny is Mr. Oof.
This was the first lolita dress I ever got, and it's not my style anymore but it's so sentimental. I couldn't help but wear my old school headbow/socks with it. The dress is the Antique dolls OP from Dolls Party, which is unfortunately defunct. I speculate that part of the reason why it went defunct is because they kept selling classic/country lolita when their main fanbase is sweet and gothic.

In other news:
  • I've been refraining from buying anything new, but I have a baby jsk on the way (velveteen!!). My PayPal has been being a pain in my ass, but at least that restrict me from LaceMarket. My wishlist expands more and more as I get my hands on GLBs and other old school media, but I refrain from sending it anywhere because I can't be enabled NOOOO.
  • I have two new friends who joined the local old school comm, and a bajillion new comm members after Anime Boston. I can't forget to mention my online lolita friends around the world that I would love to meet one day. Also, I spotted a lolita in my university wearing chocolate rosette salo by ap????? I WAS TOO SHY to say hello... the only thing I said was "bruh not working" as the broken dining hall ice cream machine spat chocolate liquid all over my hand.
  • I've signed up for a Metamorphose meetup in a fancy mansion, and joined an old school server where I'm continually inspired to grow in this fashion -- both in knowledge and style. I began lifestying a bit with casual coords (bolero + dress + pants, lol). Lolita is seeping into my daily life, and I no longer keep it a secret from any of my irl friends.

I've been in this fashion for over two years, and it feels like my journey is only opening up more and more. I can't wait to see where I go next...
